Commissioner letters about Poland’s RRP

In Spring 2022, three EU commisioners wrote letters to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen to express their doubts about approving the Polish Recovery and Resilience Plan. I filed an access to documents request to have them made public. I had to appeal and file a complaint to the European Ombudsman because the Commission failed to reply within the legal time limit, but finally I did receive the documents. Peter Teffer is a journalist and political scientist. He wrote two books about EU politics: Het lijkt Washington wel: hoe lobbyisten Brussel in hun greep hebben (It looks like Washington here. How lobbyists dominate Brussels) and Dieselgate: Hoe de industrie sjoemelde en Europa faalde (How the industry cheated and Europe failed) came out. The books, published by publishing house Volt (previously Q), are currently only available in Dutch.
